A very lucrative and often undermined option for international students to study in Australia is Vocational Education and Training (VET) which is a skill based education and training focusing on giving practical skills to the students who are doing these courses.

These courses are also known as technical or trade courses.

The vocational education programs also help students to get career focused skills that are required in the current job market designed to give practical skills to the people and get them job ready. They are also suitable for the people who would like to upgrade their skills in certain industries and for those who would like to change their career paths.   • Vocational Graduate Diplomas however can be anywhere from 1 to 2 years.

The cost of these courses will certainly vary depending upon the type and the level of course you are completing but to give you a rough estimation it can cost anywhere from $4,000  to $20,000 to complete these courses. 
 

Obviously, the cost of these courses are much lower as compared to the degree programs.

After completing these courses, you usually get a Certificate or a Diploma stating which qualification you have completed.
